Swimming Pool Testing: Overview

While the information in these pages covers many pools and situation, it's primarily intended to help those who've purchased the test kits from me.

Gadgets, gizmos, test kits . . . and biological neural net analysis units with coupled dynamic multifunctional sensor and data inputs (BioNNAU/CDMSDI Tech).

The pages above will hopefully help you get a handle on pool testing.

However, some of you want more. TDS meters, pH meters, ORP meters, and more are available, and can be a lot of fun if you've got several hundred in spare change, and like electronic gadgets. But, you don't really need them.

Computer dosing programs are theoretically a nifty idea.

In practice, they have the hallmarks of pool chemical marketing wizards . . . and are extremely effective in performing magical teleportation events, causing greenbacks to disappear from your wallet, and reappear in your dealer's cash register. Even the programs designed by 'independent' programmers' share in this sorcery, since their authors tend to be better at software than at pools, and usually simply copy the pool industry's 'standard' chemical wisdom.

However, for the truly sophisticated, there is one extremely powerful device that is available to most poolowners, but one that nevertheless not utilized as often or as fully as it should be. Proper application of this "biological neural net analysis unit, with its coupled dynamic multifunctional sensor and data inputs (BioNNAU/CDMSDI Tech)" can be extraordinarily useful. And, this device's capabilities are NOT duplicated by any other testing mechanism.

Typically, this unit resides between the pool owner's ears and is capable of providing very specific and useful information about pool water color, smell, and feel; about the color, texture and general appearance of the pool walls; along with highly processed data analysis, and so on.

Uhh-h-h, in other words, there's no testkit substitute for PAYING ATTENTION to what your pool looks, smells and feels like, and to what all has been put into it!
