TEST FORM

For use ONLY with pools using PHMB (Baquacil(tm) or Softswim(tm).
Not all dealers will be able to test for all values.

Test Pool Fill
PHMB (sanitizer)
Hydrogen peroxide (shock)
Quat. algicide (algicide)
pH
Alkalinity
Calcium
Iron (Fe)
Copper (Cu)
    less critical tests:
Manganese (Mn)
Nitrate (NO2, NO3)
Phosphate
Ammonia (NH4)

Metals must be measured in both the pool water, and the fill water, because PHMB is destroyed by metals such as iron or copper. In a a chlorinated pool, often only pH levels + chlorine levels are measured, since chlorine is a santizer AND an algaecide AND an oxidizer. By contrast, PHMB is  ONLY a sanitizer. The algaecide function is provided by special compatible algaecide; the oxidizer function is provided by peroxide. Thus, measuring PHMB + peroxide + algicide levels is the equivalent of measure ONLY chlorine, in a chlorinated pool.
